Ramzi Dreessen is a Chicago-based photographer and videographer who works for just about anyone who demands compelling visual content, from news organizations to small businesses to individuals. Currently he works for the Cause and Event section of the Chicago Sun-Times as an event and portrait photographer, but his images have also appeared everywhere from his college newspaper to the Associated Press, and have been published nationwide on multiple occasions. He has worked with industry-leading photography professionals in Chicago as well as on the east coast, and is always on the lookout for new opportunities to collaborate with others like himself that consider good visual communication a necessity.
Ramzi has also worked in journalism, social media and public relations. At the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he was a member of the 35-person student team that created the campus crime analysis website campuscrime.net, winner of multiple national awards (including the Society of Professional Journalist's 2010 Mark of Excellence in Online News Reporting). He also improved the online visual and social presence of Pure Kitchen Catering Chicago, and was an integral part of public relations for Adam Miguest's 2011 campaign for Chicago 4th Ward Alderman. Ramzi enjoys sports and hanging with friends, just like any other normal person his age. You can reach him by email, which he monitors routinely/obsessively. All images © Ramzi Dreessen 2008 - 2012.
